Jessica Holzer, M.A., LMFT, RPT

I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, San Diego in Psychology and Cognitive Science.  I then furthered my study by completing my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University.  While at Alliant, I had the privilege of studying abroad in several countries, exploring international practices of mental health in India, Cambodia, and Mexico.  

After receiving my Master's degree, I completed my clinical training in several non-profit agencies in San Diego County focusing on children and families, allowing me to become very familiar with San Diego County resources and and supports.  Throughout my career development, I have been honored to participate in multiple trainings and certifications to further my practice including obtaining my Registered Play Therapist certification, expanding my education in attachment based therapies, and parent education.  Additionally, I have participated in developing research for trauma.

I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2015 and obtained credentials as a clinical supervisor in 2017.  Being a therapist means being a life long learner.  Currently I continue my education to enhance my skills as a clinician and a leader in the community by attending trainings, providing trainings, and being an adjunct professor at a local university.
